Monte Dinero is a small rural area in southeastern Patagonia, in the province of Santa Cruz, Argentina.

It is located near the Strait of Magellan, 120 km southeast of the city of Río Gallegos. Many of its lands are dedicated to sheep farming. Monte Dinero is a few kilometers north of one of the extreme points of continental Argentina: Punta Dungeness.

The Monte Dinero Ranch, founded in the early 1880s, has already been in agricultural activity for over 100 years, developed today by the fifth generation of the Fenton Family. Monte Dinero occupies 26 thousand hectares where sheep of the MPM (Merino Multi Purpose) breed are raised.

This historic ranch in the province of Santa Cruz, located 120 kilometers from Río Gallegos, is made up of its “Casa Grande”, now converted into a comfortable inn, a main town, shearing sheds, vegetable garden, carpentry, blacksmith shop, stables, house of Personnel, Shearers’ House, Family House, Workshop, New Gallon and Chicken Coop. In the ranch itself there is the Cabo Vírgenes Lighthouse and the penguin colony of the same name. Without a doubt, a privileged location in Patagonia.

Monte Dinero combines its usual livestock activity with tourism, offering a service with family warmth, all the comfort of its Casa Grande, converted into a Patagonian Inn and a wide variety of activities in the area.

La Casa Grande has four double rooms with private bathroom and two double rooms with shared bathroom, a small museum and a barbecue area for groups.
